Description

Warm cinnamon and nutmeg spice cling to crisp popcorn kernels, glazed in sweet apple cider and brown sugar. Each crunchy cluster bursts with cozy fall flavors and a hint of butter for a festive twist on movie-night snacking.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter, brown sugar, apple cider, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Place popcorn in a large bowl and drizzle the butter-sugar mixture over it, tossing gently to coat evenly.
  5. Spread the coated popcorn in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through to prevent burning.
  7. Allow the popcorn to cool completely before breaking into clusters.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container to keep the popcorn crispy.
  • For a stronger apple flavor, add a sprinkle of powdered apple cider.
  • Adjust the amount of cinnamon and nutmeg for a milder or spicier taste.
  • This snack is perfect for movie nights or festive gatherings.
