Description

Golden egg noodles tangled in glossy honey-garlic sauce, studded with succulent chicken strips and bright green onions. Each mouthful offers a pop of sesame and a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and umami notes.

Ingredients

  • 200 g egg noodles
  • 200 g boneless skinless chicken breast cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 stalks green onions sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet, stirring constantly until it thickens and coats the chicken.
  6. Add cooked noodles and sliced green onions to the skillet, tossing everything together to combine and heat through.
  7. Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of honey to taste for desired sweetness.
  • Substitute rice noodles or whole wheat noodles based on preference.
  • Add vegetables such as bell peppers or broccoli for extra color and nutrition.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
